i got a new case, power supply 500w, intel core 2 duo processor, asus motherboard pci-express SLI ready. 1 gig ddr2 memory, 250 gig HD and a new fan.
old stuff on there is my graphics card, 80 gig HD, CD/DVD-RW 4 speed drive and a floppy drive.
future upgrades: 2 EVGA GeForce 8600 GT graphics cards for the SLI then mod it to overclock at GTS capacity, one more gig of memory, 4 new fans, and an intel core 2 quad processor or intel core 2 extreme.
current situation: apperantly the asus motherboard is old (even though it supports a quad processor). the power supply is able to power the motherboard but none of the fans are working. after a few hours of working on it we finally got the fans to work. reason they werent working was they werent plugged in all the way. we put the cpu in and there was just no power coming out of it, even though the motherboard leds were working. after a few more trial runs we found out that the cpu is killing the power on the motherboard.
replacement parts: definatly a new motherboard probably the EVGA nForce 680i with pci-e and SLI. intel duo core 2 E6750/2.66Ghz
after this i shall be officially welcomed to the world of gamage.
